Pros: No Cable - Cons: Batteries August 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The cable of the wired sensor that comes with the Wii was too short for me so I bought this wireless sensor. It works well but requires 4 new AA batteries every 15 hours of gameplay or so. When the battery power starts to decrease, the movements on the screen start to be shaky and the pointers become much less accurate. The coverage angle (up/down) seems more narrow than the original sensor bar but it seems to have a wider range (you can sit further away from the sensor). Note that this works with any Wii (US, JP or EU).
better range than the stock ! August 3, 2008 this has better range than the stock one! if you have range problems then get it if not stay with the original!

This is a horrible product. I really wanted to put my Wii far from the TV, thus neccessitating a wireless sensor bar.
The quality of the sensor bar is nowhere near as good as the original Wii one, frequently losing signal. It's not awful or unplayable or anything, but it's just clearly and significantly not as good as the original.
It also eats batteries for breakfast. I'd estimate the batteries last no more than 20 hours, because if I ever forget and leave it on overnight, the batteries are dead when I wake up. That means the battery drains almost faster than the wiimotes, which drain fast themselves!
Freakin' Awesome Works Great (MAY NEED TO ADJUST SENSITIVITY IN WII MENU FOR BEST RESULTS!!!) June 30, 2008 At first the wireless bar had same problem mentioned in another review (it wasn't tracking unless I was right next to the bar. I went into wii menu and reset the Sensitivity factory wii setting is 3 I set it to 5 after checking 4. It works great from every angle and distance set at 5 now. So if your having that problem just go into wii menu and fix it very easy to do. Awesome Product
It Works... June 25, 2008 ...that's all it really needed to do.
I needed a wireless sensor bar because my plasma is mounted on a wall. The wired sensor bar that came with the Wii would have been unsightly and the cord would have been too short to reach my A/V rack. So this is a great option to have. Just be sure to switch it off when you're done playing.
