3 out of 5 stars Should be better   October 31, 2008
While I could spend a lot of time talking about what's good about the Motorola H12 the important thing is performance in a noisy environment, and that's not so good. With traffic going by in NYC I couldn't hear a darn thing and my caller couldn't hear me. My car is sporty and noisy; same thing. I also cannot get a good fit with the earpiece. I just do not know why manufacturers do not make headsets like decent canal ear buds. Ok, for the good stuff: the ear loop keeps the headset secure, the on-off switch is positive, the volume control is easy to use, and the magnetic recharge connector is a nice touch.

3 out of 5 stars Fairly good but could be better   October 9, 2008

This product came to me with a tiny little plastic ear hook that not only would not keep the blue tooth on my ear but broke not long after I bought it. In an effort to still use the blue tooth I bought another earhook and had to rig it to fit my bluetooth. However after that was taken care of I have used this item and it works pretty good. However I have to mess with the charger sometimes for a few minutes to get it to start charging. Overall I'm actually pretty disappointed with this item. However I do still use this item and it has served it's purpose.

3 out of 5 stars Clear...if your in a small room or car (with windows up)   October 9, 2008

I've had this for awhile and I only use it if I'm in a small room or I'm in the car (with my windows up). If I were to try and use it elsewhere, the person I'm talking to complains that it sounds like I'm going through a tunnel. I can hear the person perfectly fine but they have trouble hearing me and complain that my voice is very faint.

Overall this is a nice product but improvements are obviously needed. I hope they come out with something better soon!

But I have to say it's very comfortable and I do like the design. It's very lightweight.

1 out of 5 stars Not In Original Packet.   October 5, 2008

I had purchase lots of items and this is the first time got this product from Amazon that is not in original packet. Don't know why they send me in an opening box seem it is already used by other. But I call customer service and I return this to Amazon.

2 out of 5 stars Disappointing and Unacceptable Product   September 18, 2008

I had great expectations for the headset despite the questions previously raised here, and elsewhere, about reception and sound quality. A friend reported good success, so I ordered the H12. After six weeks of unacceptable use, i've thrown it into my junk box. The volume is inadequate on almost all calls (iPhone-3G), and no one can consistently hear or understand me. Callers ask me to "get to a better phone", or decline to continue the conversation due to the poor sound quality. Some callers reference that the voice quality sounds to be coming from the bottom of a swimming pool. Wind noise is also a significant weakness of the H12. The microphone amplifies ambient noise so excessively that it is difficult for your callers to continue a conversation if standing outside in anything more than still air. As well the a/c in my new auto drowns out the H12 unless the fan is on the lowest setting... uncomfortable in the heat of south Florida. If its raining, forget about having a conversation from inside your car... the noise is amplified on the H12 to the extent that your caller can not hear you. I attempted to use all three of the rubber ear pieces to find one with a good fit without success. The light weight of the unit is good, but irrelevant if it does not fit properly within your ear. This was an unwise purchase for me and will teach me to pay more attention to Amazon user reviews before my next purchase. Until there are new advancements in Bluetooth technology, I'll revert to a wired headset for better reception and volume.
