Album Description Get the must own MUSICAL from what's sure to be the Holiday Movie of the Year! Featuring CARRIE UNDERWOOD'S brand new single "Ever Ever After", a new single from JON MCLAUGHLIN, and songs and score by Grammy Award Winning, Disney Legend ALAN MENKEN and Broadway's "Wicked" Composer STEPHEN SCWARTZ
Amazon.com Someone get Amy Adams on the Broadway stage, stat! She may not have the huge pipes that are supposed to be necessary for singers nowadays, but based on her sweet performance of three songs on this soundtrack, she gets a tune. Leaving aside High School Musical-style contemporary pop, Disney returns to its sources here, with a fairy tale set to a traditional-minded score by Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, etc.). The first three songs are loving, well-crafted homages to Disney classics, such as Cinderella and Snow White; tellingly, the lovely "Happy Working Song" (with lyrics by Stephen "Wicked" Schwartz) sounds like it could have been lifted from any number of Disney movies--and that's meant as a compliment. Carrie Underwood brings us back into the 21st century with the single "Ever Ever After", which in comparison feels a bit more anonymous. Menken also supplies several instrumental cues, often reprising themes alluded to in the songs, and James Marsden wraps things up with a hilariously straight-faced version of "That's Amore." --Elisabeth Vincentelli More from Disney Classic Disney: 60 Years of Musical Magic | Disney's Greatest, Vol. 1 | Disney's Greatest, Vol. 2 | Disney's Fantasia | Disney's Hercules | Mulan | Disney's Beauty and the Beast | Disney's Sleeping Beauty | Disney's Cinderella |

All around a very good choice for all ages. September 29, 2008 I have watched this movie many time with my grandchildren and by myself. It is just a feel good movie and very entertaining. I would recommend this movie to everyone.
Perfect sing-a-long September 26, 2008 I bought this DVD the day after I saw the movie in theatres. Truly, the songs are enchanting and I am happy so many of them were nominated for the Oscar's "Best Song". They are in true Disney fashion with just a hint of tongue-in-cheek. The instrumentals are lovely as well, but not nearly as great as the songs. However, this is worth Amy Adam's lovely voice.
Such Fun! September 23, 2008 My whole family truly enjoyed the movie, "Enchanted" and we really wanted to be able to sing the wonderfully addictive songs. I purchased this CD to listen in the car with my daughters and we sing like crazy. They frequently ask to bring the CD into the house so that they can sing and dance at the same time. It is a really fun CD for the kids and the adults. Very cute.
Loved it! That's why I bought it! September 21, 2008 If you loved the movie like my wife and I did, and loved the music, you'll love this disc. If you didn't love the movie (or the music), then this probably isn't the right purchase for you. If you haven't seen the movie (or heard the music), I would suggest you see the movie first. Then make up your own mind.
Upbeat and Catchy! September 7, 2008 If you enjoyed the movie, the CD is awesome! All the tunes bring back that silly happy feeling you had while watching the movie. My children especially love it and I am excited that they have the exposure to theatrical show tunes!
