5 out of 5 stars Jerry Reed   October 5, 2008
We love everything Jerry Reed did. But most of all I love Amazon.com. I am not a big spender, but what I have purchased from Amazon.com has been done very enjoyable. I did have one mishap but that was totally my own fault. THANKS AMAZON.COM for everything.

Jackie

4 out of 5 stars A Good, Although Small Collection of Hits   February 16, 2008

This is a good album, especially for the price. There are only ten songs on it, but a nice selection of his music. There are even a few ballads; "Remembering" and "I Love You, What Can I Say" which I either had never heard before, or haven't in a long time. If you are used to hearing songs of his like "She Got the Goldmine (I Got the Shaft)" these ballads will be a pleasant surprise. Jerry Reed was a much more versatile artist than his most well known hits would lead people to believe. A good album for the classic country fan who wants a break from the Nashville sound.

4 out of 5 stars love jerry   July 16, 2004
liked his older hits, AMOS MOSES & WHEN YOURE HOT YOURE HOT, from the early seventies, plus east bound and down. tell em, jerry!!!

5 out of 5 stars I love this guys music!   March 18, 2004

I grew up watching him playing the SnowMan in "smokey and the bandit" and the songs of that movie grew on me so much i love them to this very day!

Unfortunalty only one from that movie appears on this album "East bound and down" but from that i took a gamble on seeing if any of his other work outside of that movie was any good, and i was pleased with the result!

These songs are great, if your into this sound and brand, then this sure is a great album to have! just too bad it didnt contain the songs from "smokey and the bandit"

but still the only country and western muso i like!

Jerry Reed's a comic, but don't ever forget he is a fine guitarist first and foremost. Not just funny lyrics here. Lots of great licks to enjoy, too.
