Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The premier household name in melodic hard rock returns with a vengeance! Whitesnake is back with "Good To Be Bad", their 10th studio album and first in over a decade. This brand new album features a slew of instant-classic Whitesnake songs that are destined to stand side by side with such favorites as "Here I Go Again", "Still Of The Night" and "Fool For Your Love." Led by world-renown vocalist extraordinaire David Coverdale, "Good To Be Bad" is truly classic Whitensake, displaying that rare combination of high class and kick ass that has made them what they are today... the absolute best!

4 out of 5 stars Is it the 80's again?   August 29, 2008

I'm pretty impressed by the way these songs sound. David Coverdale can still sing like it was 20 years ago and he found musicians that sound as if they were on the Whitesnake and Slide it In albums. My only disappointment would be the lyrics. He tends to repeat the same versus over and over as if filling the songs. But the catchy riffs and rythym section make up for it. I was surprised to find that my CD had a bonus live CD attached that contained some old Deep Purple tracks too. If like classic Whitesnake, go get this!

Great CD - rectified metal with one of the greatest UK rock singers of the 70's & 80's. Whitesnake is back in the groove with a new powerful crew and the best of the best - David Coverdale !!!

5 out of 5 stars Never felt compelled to write a review till NOW.   August 18, 2008
This CD was a shocker.I listend to this CD twice back to back and was still impressed. With all the other reviews saying how good it was i had to check it out. If all the other 80's bands could recreate the sounds they used to have like Whitesnake has done here, then maybe we wouldn't have to listen to all the depressing rock songs on the radio anymore. I just wish radio would play some of it.
Now i will wait for the new Tesla release.

4 out of 5 stars BETTER GOOD THAN BAD   August 8, 2008
OVERALL A PRETTY SOLID ALBUM. YOU CAN REALLY HEAR DOUG ALDRICH'S INFLUENCE ON THIS CD AS SOME OF THE SONGS SOUND LIKE SOME OF HIS BURNING RAIN SONGS. IF YOU EVER GET A CHANCE TO SEE HIM LIVE GO SEE HIM AS THIS GUY JUST SMOKES ON THE GUITAR. NOT AS GOOD AS THEIR 1987 EFFORT BUT NOT MANY CD'S ARE. DEFINATELY WORTH BUYING.

2 out of 5 stars This is a return to 1987   August 3, 2008

Your opinion of this album will depend on which Whitesnake you like.

If, like me, you were listening to Whitesnake before 1987, and were disappointed with the glam era music, steer clear, or at least listen before you buy. Instead check out "Restless Heart" and Coverdale's solo "Into the Light", which were a return to the more bluesy sound.

However, If your introduction to Whitesnake was the 1987 album and you liked it and "Slip of the Tongue", you will like this album.
