I enjoy many of the songs in this collection. That's the problem. I've heard them all before. I merely have to visit my in-laws to hear them for the umpteenth time. The title should have been a tip-off that cliches are the object here. I suppose it serves as a collection for those without any of these songs on other discs. But I am a casual and very recent fan of Italian music and have already gotten past this stuff. If you've been to just one Italian wedding, you've heard these songs more than you need to. Italian music has much to offer and it's worth digging deeper than a greatest hits collection.

5 out of 5 stars Background music   January 29, 2008
This cd makes great background music. Many songs are already in my music collection, but still great to own.

5 out of 5 stars Eh' Paisano   December 7, 2007
If you enjoy Italian music this is a great CD. The old artists bring back a lot of memories.

2 out of 5 stars Disappointing   April 29, 2007

We bought this CD in anticipation of our Italian Wedding, but it was disappointing. Songs were much too "50s" with instrumentation and presentation. Ironically, there are better and more upbeat versions of "That's Amore" out there than Dean's, in our humble opinion. Wouldn't recommend, at least not for an Italian wedding.
