Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
A sequel to the 2005 Grammy nominated Vol. I. Twelve songs culled from Browne's extensive and critically acclaimed solo acoustic concerts around the world over the past few years. Like its predecessor, it captures both spirited and humorous exchanges between Jackson and his audiences, making for a truly intimate listening experience. It reaches back to his debut album and spans his entire career with highlights such as "Never Stop", The Night Inside Me" and "In The Shape Of A Heart".

3 out of 5 stars Not as good as Solo Accoustic Vol 1   September 26, 2008
If you have Solo Accoustic Vol 1 than you will enjoy Vol. 2. However if you dont own Vol. 1, I would suggest you buy it as it has more of the well known hits. Jackson Browne has great songs but this album is more of lesser known material. If you like accoustic music in general than you will really like this album.

5 out of 5 stars Jackson Browne t his best....   September 7, 2008
This is Jackson Browne at his best. He has more than withstood the test of time. He's amazing.

5 out of 5 stars The next best thing to being at a Jackson Browne solo concert   September 4, 2008
If you have never heard Jackson Browne perform solo and acoustic -- then you're missing out on a very special experience -- so buy this album as it captures these intimate concerts like you can't imagine.

If you don't know Jackson Browne, the Solo Acoustic cd's are the place to start. This captures his brillance. Don't miss them.

5 out of 5 stars My Stunning Musical Stranger   August 9, 2008

At the age of 13 I came across a beautiful big brown-eyed soulful singer by the name of Jackson Browne. That was 16 years ago. All through my high school years I was jabbed by my friends regarding my lack of interest in the grunge bands and hip hop. How does one defend those so verbally apposed to Jackson Browne? Play what they will recognize and the driver of the vehicle you are in.

Solo Acoustic, Vol. 2 is as solid as many of Jackson's previous releases. The material never gets old. How ever, I am a bit disappointed in song selection. I would prefer to hear some older less radio-aired songs in an acoustic setting. Much of Browne's best work is buried inside albums forgotten or less explored. Listening to both Acoustic albums, what I enjoy most are the short, lighthearted interactions between musician and audience. The intimate ambiance of the recording in its self draws me in with a thought of, "I wish I was there." I image spending the evening with an intelligent, tender, beautiful man playing timeless music to be an excellent way to spend an evening.

To this day, I am still reminded and teased by friends of my "odd choice" in musical selection during those growing years. I suggest listening to a little known artist by the name of Griffin House. When you hear this up and coming singer-song writer you will most likely find yourself transported back to the first time you heard a young Jackson Browne.
