Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
The 2008 album from Dwele, is Sketches of a Man. This album brings Dwele back to a more gritty, experimental, and non-overproduced sound - one that originally caught listener's ears with his first EP demo Rize released in 1998.

4 out of 5 stars Awesome   October 2, 2008
I rarely write reviews and I mostly write them for something that I bought that was totally awful.

It's nice to see young talent coming up with good pure music/lyrics. (i.e. John Legend) Hopefully this will start trend in which you actually have to have talent to release music.

5 out of 5 stars Dwele's best yet!   September 24, 2008
Being a native Detroiter it really pleases me to be able to purchase such quality music from an extremely underrated artists rom my hometown. This album is outstanding, with a perfect blend of neo soul and r&b, with loads of personality sprinkled on top. I highly recommend anyone who loves real music to get this cd!

4 out of 5 stars Neo soul with touches from the past   September 13, 2008
This is my first CD from hometown (Detroit) talent Dwele. He isn't a cookie cutter neo soul come lately singer. He places a bit of the old school with snappy lyrics set to modern beats which will keep you listening for a long time.

Check him out- this brother is very talented and he has made a great CD!
