Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
The fourth installment in a four volume collection of songs spanning the duo's 25 year recording career including rarities, remixes and previously unreleased recordings from FSOL's archives. Future Sound of London are one of the most respected international experimental ambient outfits, incorporating elements of many styles into their musical stew: Techno, Classical, Jazz, Hip Hop, Electro, Industrial and Dub are just a few of the aural touchstones that are often felt if not heard in their expansive, sample-heavy tracks. 12 tracks including 'Hidden Sign', 'Plasmatik', '100 Baby Spiders' and 'Speed Ball'. Jumpin' & Pumpin'. 2008.

5 out of 5 stars Volume 4   May 19, 2008

Even though The Future Sound of London don't seem interested in releasing new music anymore, they sure do have a lot of unused material from the 90s that they've been dishing out. In 2007 fans were treated to 3 full length albums worth of what FSOL called "From The Arhives". There was some good music on these CDs no doubt about it, but they tended to get boring with the long running times (70 mins) and most tracks sounded very much like tracks from previous albums. So the end result for me was rather unsatisfied. I personally thought they should have just condensed it down to 1 CD and picked the best songs. Anyways, volume 4 od the series is a step in the right direction... A shorter run time of 50 mins and mostly strong tracks. To me, this is how it should have been from the get-go. If FSOL release more of these in the future, this is how i hope they do it.
