1 out of 5 stars Very messy device   August 30, 2008

Great that there is a speaker, but MONO ?
Tried this device for few days and brought it back for change ...
Very messy user-interface and very complicated to use. Also it hangs up from time to time (e.g. playing some stations in Indonesia). I finally chose to get a PHILIPS NP1100 which is great !

2 out of 5 stars Only usefull for FM, the rest is painfull beyond usability.   August 29, 2008

I was very optimistic when I bought this radio, it had all of the features I was looking for and looked all right. The only problem is that the features all require at most several dozen menu selections, at least a handful, and most require the remote that only communicates half of your selections. Half of the time you don't know when the radio receives your command because it needs to pause at seemingly random periods of time.

The customer service was pretty much useless, not giving any solution.

Don't buy it.

4 out of 5 stars my first wifi radio!!!!   August 20, 2008

I love this item!

I do have one complaint though...
it doesn't allow me to add my own stations so if thats a feature your're looking for you better skip to another model!

You CAN submit your url to vtuner but other than that theres no way of adding your own station [least i haven't figured it out]

I didn't have to even read the manual to operate, I started using it the min I got it out of the box...

took me a little bit to get the wireless up & running due to configurations but it ran on the ethernet cable instantly.

Thanks to my new super-fast cable modem [we had dsl just last week] I have very few dropouts some stations take longer to connect depending on what k they're streaming in! [not the radio manufaturers fault]

I gave this item 4 stars because I'm kind've disapointed that it doesn't have any of my favorite stations ...
KNEW, Rock 105 from Chattanooga,TN , Project 96.1 are 3 channels I listen to regularly yet none of them are on it!

WLKS's HD #2 is on here but not the main feed 96.1fm I can't get it from my house on terrestrial [FM} radio because the signal is to weak.

other than that I'm happy!
the radio is well buit as stated by others who's commented!

the fact it that doesn't have my fave radio stations doesn't mean the radio's bad ... I just HOPE VTUNER adds them!

5 out of 5 stars Aluratek AIRMM01 Internet Radio Alarm Clock with built-in WiFi   August 20, 2008

Aluratek AIRMM01 Internet Radio Alarm Clock with built-in WiFi (Black)

Pros: This is a great radio who would like to listen programs from the internet radio stations around the globe without any subscription fees. This radio is very easy to connect your wireless or wired internet connection. It automatically tunes for the available internet radio stations. You can choose and save your favorite stations. It is easy to use and the sound quality is great! I would recommend this radio to my friends who are looking for next generation radios. I am giving 5 star rating to this small amazing devise.

Cons: No option to add new stations to the radio list. Not sure how often the service provide update the stations list.

4 out of 5 stars 4 and 1/2 stars for me   August 14, 2008

I had the same connectivity issue A Franz had. As he suggested, I updated the firmware and problem solved.

The radio is great.

Pros: good sound, ease of use, nice design.

Cons: no AM, no battery option (just runs on AC) and NO VOLUME CONTROL on unit (have to use the remote).
