5 out of 5 stars An Excellent Choice   August 23, 2008
Cables To Go 7 Port USB 2.0 hub a great product. Its sturdy slim elongated aluminum case construction gives it some weight and durability. Mounting screws and bracket (included) provide a means for securing this device to a desktop or like I have done, to the side of my desk where it is out of the way yet still very accessible. The great thing about the mounting bracket is that you can slide the hub out of the bracket at any given time when you need to. There are four ports to the rear and three in the front. A LED light on top provides a light blue luminance indicating power is on. It is less costly than other 7 port hubs that I have shopped for and I believe to be the best.

5 out of 5 stars Great product ,great customer service !   August 22, 2008
When I first recieved my hub from Amazon/Cables To Go ,I was excited to hook it up and use it for a couple of accessories I had to plug into it ! Well I had read the reviews and the main complaint I read about was that the blue lite was way to bright ,some said it was blinding ,others said it wsa so bright they could use it for a night lite . Well my PC color scheme has blue lighting ,my keyboard is a Logitech G-15 in which all the keys are backlite in blue. Would'nt you knoww it the lite on my new hub was non-functionial I tried pluging it into differant sockets and still no light. Well I right away sent an email off to Amazon Customer Service and the gave me a return postage paid reciept to returrn the one I recieved and said they would send a new one to me ! I recieved the new one the very next day and the light did work on the new one. Let me tell you the lite is in no way a distraction or to bright ,I cant believe how much some exaggerated about the lite. Its a a great Hub and I would recomend it highly to others !
Take Care Nick

5 out of 5 stars Great design   August 18, 2008
This is a definite upgrade from my old USB hub. The old one was lighter and moved around on my desk more. This is a very sturdy design that stays in place. It is very sleek and looks very nice since I have a very dark brown desk. It is the perfect combination of functionality and style.

5 out of 5 stars Totally Necessary   August 13, 2008
I've had this hub for about 3 months now, and it's made my computing so much more convenient. Switching between laptops is a breeze - I have one USB port to disconnect to instantly use my keyboard, mouse, etc. on either PC or Mac in one step.

5 out of 5 stars The Almost Perfect Hub   August 13, 2008
This is a great USB Hub. It works great. Like the other reviewers, the blue light can be annoying, but if you position the hub nicely, it can add a nice glow to a dark room. It's great for traveling because you don't need to use the power adapter constantly, but when you're at home, I suggest using the power adapter as it will make the USB Hub have faster connection speeds (if you use the Hub to play Rock Band, the power adapter is a must). If you have an iPod and are using this Hub to connect it, use the power adapter as the computer might not supply enough power to the Hub to charge your iPod. A lot of my friends who needed a USB Hub bought this Hub at my suggestion and they love it too.

It's small and portable. Size might be an issue for those with large USB peripherals. On one side, there is 3 USB Ports which have ample room for whatever you need to connect, on the other side, there's 4 USB Ports which have limited space.

The dock for the Hub isn't really needed. If you do decide to mount the dock somewhere, be careful since the USB Hub slides out of it quite easily. If you don't need to grab it and go from the dock to work (or something), then some double-sided tape will help the Hub stick in place.
