Amazon.com Product Description Add wireless freedom, stylish looks, and one-touch features to your desktop with the Wireless Optical Desktop Pro keyboard and mouse combination. This desktop package features customizable keys, optical mouse technology, and a comfortable, ergonomic design. The Wireless MultiMedia keyboard's split, gently sloped shape encourages a natural hand, wrist, and forearm position for maximum comfort. Also, your digital media activities are within easy reach--start, play, and navigate music and video clips with the touch of a button. Customizable hot keys let you quickly start Messenger, Mail, Internet, and Calculator programs. And get one-touch access to files stored in the My Documents, My Pictures, and My Music folders in Windows. Perform common tasks right from your keyboard--press a button to open, close, and save documents, send and forward e-mails, put the computer to sleep, log off, and more. Press the F LOCK key to toggle between standard and enhanced function key commands. The mouse's wider, clear scroll wheel allows you to comfortably move through documents and Web pages quickly without clicking the scroll bar. Accelerated scrolling reacts to how quickly you roll the wheel, saving you time and effort. And the optical sensor replaces your mouse ball, for accuracy and precision--no mouse pad needed. It's ambidextrous, too--whether you control it with your right or left hand, the wireless optical mouse is shaped for comfort. Both the keyboard and mouse work within six feet of the included receiver, even if your computer is out of sight. The pair comes with a three-year warranty.

Flaky wireless connection, great keyboard and mouse July 22, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have two identical wireless Natural multimedia keyboards and mice. Fabulous keyboard, great touch and layout, I can type all day on it. HATE the flaky wireless connection - When first starting up, I regularly have to fight to re-establish a decent wireless connection between the keyboard and receiver. It only picks up every other keystroke, sporadic reception... this is with the receiver sitting within 6" of the keyboard. Once a decent connection is established, it works great! Same problem with identical wireless sets on different machines. Grrrr very frustrating, but once it gets going it works flawlessly.
Nice keyboard, not-so-nice mouse May 29, 2005 I picked this up for $50 because my desk was a mess with wires. It's lasted me about a year.
The keyboard is great, 5/5 stars. Comfort keyboards like this are great, and the keys press softly. There are a few function buttons at the top, mostly media stuff, which I don't use very often. Great battery life. Overall it's a great keyboard.
The mouse is not so great. It functions correctly most of the time, and the battery lasts a long time (I replaced it three times in a year) but occasionally the cursor will jump to the bottom-left corner of the screen when you so much as breathe on the mouse. Plus, there's no extra function buttons (which I really like) and the tracking - when it works - is only average. Get a Logitech mouse; I use an MX1000 on another computer and it's by far the best mouse I've ever tried.
Overall this set is not a bad buy. 4/5.
Cool Keyboard Microsoft October 20, 2004 This combo is excellent. I dont use the F LOCK button at all. I have all the "function" button opening programs. Shortcut city! The keyboard's shape was hard to adjust to at first, but a day with it you began to run with it. Also, it makes using the internet apps. (internet explorer, AIM) & checking mail easier with the shortcut buttons. Nice investment for any techie!
great keyboard October 17, 2004 I hate to admit it, but I like something that comes from Microsoft. I've been beating the heck out of my DELL inspiron 5100 so badly with my school work that the keys are starting to pop off. So I needed a new keyboard. The last thing I needed was more cords running over my desk, so I bought this wireless keyboard and mouse combo at Best Buy.
It was a bit on the expensive side ($109), but well worth the price. Setup was a breeze. Since Microsoft wrote the drivers, they actually worked the first time!
Best of all, the ergonomic style really helps when you are crammed on a small desk.
I recommend this product!
You Need to Buy This Now.... September 1, 2004 I got this as a b-day present from my wishlist. I am thrilled with it. I never used the extra buttons on my previous optical mouse so the absence of extra buttons was a non-issue for me. As far as the battery life goes.... does anybody use regular batteries for electronics anymore. I have been using rechargeables since I purchsed my digital camera years ago. I always keep extra batteries charged just in case I need them and so far I have not had to change the batteries once. Granted I have only been using this item for a little over a month, however I don't think this is ever going to be a problem. Somebody complained about the weight of the mouse with the 2 batteries included. It's probably about 5 ozs. heavier.... I don't know about anyone else but I use it to just move around, I don't continually pick it up. My machine boots in the same amount of time as before and the setup is as easy as falling off a log. Do I miss the lights? The answer is not really. Yes, they were nice but not all that necessary in my opinion. I don't use the function keys so that is also a non-issue for me. The surprise for me was all the keys at the top of the keyboard which allow me to access the net, my email, documents, pictures, music, not to mention the multimedia sound options for recording. I also like that the delete key is longer. As you can see, I can't say enough in support of this product.
