Wonderful, helpful book August 10, 2008 This is a GREAT book. My eight year old son has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, so I own many books on the subject. "What Works for Bipolar Kids" is now one of my two favorites. Dr. Pavuluri discusses many different subjects, including medications, which is very helpful. I wish I lived in Chicago so that maybe my son would have the privelege of being one of her patients. Lots of wisdom, knowledge, and compassion were used in the writing of this book!
What Works For Bipolar Kids August 5, 2008 WOW! This book is amazing! It is a must read. Dr. Pavuluri really understands what it is like. I felt like she was talking to me. I strongly encourage you to buy this book.

What Works for Bipolar Kids: Help and Hope for Parents
This book is a welcome addition to resources for parents struggling to help their child deal with a bipolar diagnosis. Dr. Pavuluri writes as though she is seeing into your family's heart and I know the knowledge shared in this book will ultimately help our family to heal. We will always have to grow and learn new ways to cope with this difficult diagnosis our daughter has received, but this book will be an essential tool along the way. Thank you to Dr. Pavuluri and her team for their years of research that ultimately led to her writing this book and for offering real solutions to the everyday challenges we, as parents of bipolar kids, face on a daily basis.
If you are new to this diagnosis, you MUST get this book. If you've been struggling with this diagnosis for awhile now - open the pages and help is on the way!!!! Thank you Dr. Pavuluri from the bottom of my broken heart!
