Loved It! August 22, 2008 I've enjoyed all the sisters' stories, however Hannah's and Joley's have been the best. Read them both twice immediately. Ilya actually shared more with Joley than I ever though he would. Very intriguing and leaving lots to the imagination. I like that. Not every detail has to be explained. I think the trust issues Joley dealt with were the lure to trusting Ilya. I highly recommend this series.
Loved it August 19, 2008 I loved this book. But then I don't think Christine can write a bad book. Just can't wait for the next one.
Disappointed in this book August 19, 2008 Very disappointing book, such a build up for this story in all the other books and it just did not deliver. I thought it needed more interaction with the rest of the family characters and less with the secondary plot around the band members. Let's hope the next book delivers a better story line.
Turbulent Seas August 18, 2008 I love C. Feehan's Books, and especially the drake sisters. The story grabbed my attention right away and i couldn't put it down till it was finished. Can't wait for the next one.
Another great one!! August 15, 2008 I felt the need to write this review because, as much as I love CF, I was a little nervous about this book. I always look foward for months for her new releases but the last two drake books have disappointed me, especially Safe Harbor. Considering how much chemistry the two mains had in previous books, I felt it fell flat of any real connection. And many of the reviews about this book complained of the same thing here. But i wanted to assure readers that is not the case!! Actually I thought this book did a great job of really connecting the two character so you could really feel that their chemistry was so much more than physical, something I feel feehan sometimes fails to do. The book was fast moving and i had a hard time having to put it down. There were a couple things I didnt love. Of course i wish the sister were in it more, as their interactions always add so much! It didnt ruin the book but I would have liked it. Also I do wish Ilya could have actually shared some of his past with joley instead of leaving out details and making her figure it out for herself. Even after she was clearly hurt that he would give her anything about his childhood he just apologized and they let it go at that. That would never fly in real life. Lastly, the whole marking this with his lineage? Its a bit too similar to the Dark series and it isnt really neccessary. Feehan has been doing fine without it. Otherwise stellar work! Possibly my fav in her series.
