Not much to say about this, except it installs easily and is necessary for both filters and the close up lens that Sigma sells. One problem, however, is the lens hood interrupts the pop-up flash, so it must be removed before use or it leaves a shadow.

For users of DP1 using filters, the hood is a necessity. Nothing spectacular, plastic material is quite tough.

A "must have" for your Sigma DP-1 camera if you want to shade your lens from stray sun light and want to attach some some filters.Go and get it.

Fits the camera well and serves not only as a hood but also allows the use of 46mm filters. Price is right too.

The 2 pieces is wonderful. It allows you to remove the hood and use the barrel as an adapter tube. It also allows you to keep your unit powered on (lens extended), and stick it in a coat pocket. Great for filters too. It also helps protect the lens barrel.
