5 out of 5 stars Bought as a gift.   July 22, 2008
I got the tripod as a gift and haven't seen it but the recipient said it was great.

3 out of 5 stars Low cost, light weight, light duty.   July 11, 2008
Not a bad little tripod for the price, but don't plan to use it for professional photography results, or to hold a camera much heavier than a point-and-shoot (based on my Canon A720is on this tripod). It is light weight and relatively small, so it will make a decent travel tripod, and I plan to use it on my local bicycle trips for some nature photos. The case is unpadded but reasonably well made, the shoulder strap is a little short for a somewhat large male (me), but it will still work OK. When I first set it up, one of the bottom legs pulled completely out with its clamp attached. I didn't want the inconvenience of sending it back, so, after 15 minutes of frustration I finally got the clamp re-attached to the upper leg. The quick release shoe must be removed to attach/detach the camera, and I haven't been able to find a second shoe listed to fit this tripod, which defeats the purpose of being able to quickly switch between 2 or more cameras using the quick release. The bubble level near the shoe is just an empty yellow tube (no liquid, no bubble!). Still, this tripod should serve its purpose well, as long as it is not banged hard against something. So, if you want to dabble a little in nature photography or need some support for macro shots with a small camera, this tripod should fill the bill for a year or so, if you take care of it.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Lightweight with Carrying Case   June 19, 2008
turned out to be pretty good, lightweight n look at the price ! Ain't it cheap ??

5 out of 5 stars Great little tripod!   June 18, 2008
This tripod is small, light, and inexpensive. It didn't have instructions but didn't need them; my inquisitive 6 year old (mostly) put it together while I wasn't looking. It has a quick release; the hardest part is attaching the quick release plate to the camera. I've gotten good results taking long-exposure photos of the night sky. When it folds up, it is very light and compact and comes with a convenient case. But when extended, it is quite a nice useful height. If you just want a nice, small, cheap, effective tripod, this is the one to get.

5 out of 5 stars Great value   June 18, 2008
Great tripod for the price. Feels a little flimsy at first but it works great, is easy to set up, and the price is right.
