Impressive, but a bit less than perfect.. January 7, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
10 megapixels, movie mode, simple operation, good battery life. All in all a great value for the buck. Just don't expect great pictures every time! You and the subject WILL be blurry if there is motion. Needs some practice with shooting as the auto-framing is a little slow and it's easy to jump the gun on taking the shot. A great backup camera and a great scenery/portrait camera for the money. Keep an eye out for accesory packages on Amazon as I found a spare NiCad battery/screen protector/mini-tripod package for under eight bucks!
Poor image quality, good MPEG4 movie camera January 6, 2009 We bought this camera before Xmas and used it to take many pictures during the holidays. The picture quality is clearly a huge disappointment! All indoor pictures are grainy unless you use the flash light. I know it's unfair to compare it to our DSLR but our 5 year old rebel 300D outperform this little thing by a huge margin! Once you look at the pictures taken by 300D you don't wish to use this camera ever again! The MPEG4 video feature is pretty cool though. With a 8GB SDHC card(very cheap nowadays), you can take more than 3 hours of near VHS quality video. Specs says it's 640x480x30fps but the actual video quality is worse than the specs. With the video clips so compact, it's easy to upload them to youtube. Now we use this camera primarily for lower quality video shooting(we do have a HD video camcorder for more formal occasions but it's quite bulky).
My daughter loves this camera January 6, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was just a perfect choice for my 17 year old daughter. She popped in her memory card and is off and running!

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. Awesome is her word for it. It has lots of extra features that she really enjoys using. This is a great camera.
