Fantastic for the Beginning Photographer! October 7, 2008 This camera is definitely a fantastic buy for anybody who is wanting to learn more about photography but still have the comforts of the automatic settings. After recently taking this camera on a day trip to a state park (Letchworth in NY), it proved to have a fine battery life with the Kodak recharables (over 100 pictures over the course of 8 or so hours) and had excellent pictures! The one feature I found most impressive was how well the stitching went for the panoramic shots. They certainly turned out beautiful! The automatic "smart mode" really helps you to capture some beautiful moments, and the automatic touch-up performed really helps you gauge your pictures. The color was amazing, and the ease of use was really nice. The software, which I've grown accustomed to, is quite easy and useful to transfer your pictures and charge the camera if you have the dock. Definitely a great camera!
Great camera October 1, 2008 THis camera is very sophisticated yet simple to use for the amateur photographer. Kodak rates along with Nikon and Canon and other name brands.
Everything you want in a $300 dollar camera September 30, 2008 Everything you want in a $300 dollar camera. But to be picky I wish it had a hot shoe for an external flash.
Outstanding Value for novice photography September 30, 2008 I purchased this to replace a similarly equipped Fuji camera (I was unhappy with it's usability) This is a great camera! It's 'auto' mode is great for me, where I like point and shoot pictures and it's extended features work great for my daughter who does some near-pro work.
Beautiful colors, clarity and depth that I would have expected to find in an dSLR costing much more. For someone not looking to go quite as far as an SLR, I would highly recommend this!
YOU'RE GONNA' LOVE IT! September 29, 2008 This camera is easy to use, and the pics are great. I use it to photo my original artwork to send off for prints. The color density and sharpness is noticably improved from my older Easyshare. I am very happy to report Kodak is improving all the time. That's a good thing!
