all in the family November 16, 2008 When I mentioned to my brother that I was planning to buy a new digital camera, he told me that he, his son and his daughter all had this model and that they were all very happy with it. Figuring I couldn't get a better recommendation, I bought one for myself. I, too, am very happy with it and look forward to taking it on my next vacation. The picture quality is great and the size is ideal, especially for traveling.
Canon PowerShot SD770IS November 15, 2008 Great little camera. Fits easily into my purse. I can have a camera handy when I don't want to be loaded down carrying a bunch of camera equipment.
Awesome little camera! November 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this camera for about a month now. I bought it to replace my water/shock proof Olympus camera model Stylus 770 SW (which wasn't that great, the only reason I loved it was because of it's waterproofiness).
I love this camera! It takes fantastic photos for everyday shots. I wasn't looking for anything fancy or professional, and this camera is much better than what I expected. It blew me away in all possible aspects. The colors are awesome and stay pretty true to the original(especially landscapes and the colors of sunsets).
What really blew me away (mostly because I was not expecting it) is the video quality. It is AWESOME! And huge! The Olympus camera I had took ridiculous video footage. It was too small (even at it's biggest setting) and the quality was horrible. The image was always too blown out with white. This camera, however, takes fantastic video, even in low light.
If you want an everyday, awesome camera - GET THIS ONE. I haven't had a problem with it since I bought it and fell instantly in love with it.
great camera November 11, 2008 This is my second power shot. I had an older version that turned itself on in my bag and the lense mechanisim got messed up so it would no longer focus on its own. I considered a Panasonic as a friend let me borrow theirs and it was a nice camera with comparable features and megapixel output for about $50 less. My great experience with the previous canon made me choose the Canon in the end. I am very pleased with the camera and picture quality it takes great pics even at low light. I suggest a hard case to protect it from accidentally turning it on. Camera manufactures really should put a lock tab on similar to ipods and id still be using my old one.
I made the right choice to buy sd770! October 28, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I almost decided to buy a sd1100 before I saw SD770. SD770 really deserves the extra dollars! You can feel the difference when holding both sd1100 and sd770. We have taken a lot of pictures since we bought sd770 a few weeks ago. The battery time is great. The quality of pictures is great. The black part actually looks better than in the picture (Thank another reviewer mentioned it. We almost bought a silver one). It is so tiny and convenient to carry around. In three words: We Love It!
