Camera review January 8, 2009
This was a gift for my daughter who absolutely loves it!!! Says it is easy to use, lightweight and "cool"
 Mixed Bag January 8, 2009
Nice size and good daytime photos, but I'm not a big fan of the photos taken when flash is used on this camera. The camera artificially widens the eyes of subjects when flash is used - no matter the mode. Could be user error, but I am actually going to return this product and request a refund.
 Not a digital Camera January 8, 2009
I got this Camera from Beach Camera. I don't know if this is new product or used one as they sold me in original package and all items. It didn't matter me in the beginning. I'm fond of Nikon digital cameras and though other brands were offering great cameras at the same price, I regret buying this product. The image it takes when in "all Auto mode" is so dull and unclear that I really feel sick after looking at the image in its LCD, Computer or TV. My Old camera with 3MP has much clarity in the image than this 10MP camera. I suggest the buyer not to purchase this model and esp from Beach Camera.

 be careful of getting a used/defective product January 8, 2009
I have bought electronic products from Amazon and it seems I end up getting a defective products. The Nikon coolpix is a great camera but have it checked completely as the display screen was grainy and fuzzy. There was also clicking sounds. I had to return the product and get a replacement. So far it seems ok. We will see how it goes.

This is the second Nikon Coolpix S550 we have purchased. The camera is perfect for my teenage daughters. We purchased our first camera in May 2008 when it first came out. We were very happy with the size, picture quality, videos etc. and knew exactly the camera we wanted for our older daughter for Xmas. Our family vacationed at Disney and the nightshots this little camera took were awesome - better than my digital SLR!!! Everyone in our group was quite impressed. Now, the 2 things my daughters do not leave the house without - their cell phone and their camera. Both are small and can slip into their pocket. There may be digital cameras that have better picture quality or more options, but for the money and for what we use the camera for, this is perfect for us! We absolutely love this camera!!
