I have owned several pedometers but none as nice as this one. It’s easy to set up, easy to use and easy to read. I suspect others may do a little more, but they probably cost significantly more. This one is good value for the money.
10,000 steps a day keeps the doctor away.. :) March 18, 2008
I just love the pedometer.. When a friend got it, I made fun of her.. But I regret it now. This is like the best product I ever used. I carry it with me all the time.
My doctor told me that an average of 10,000 steps a days will keep one healthy. I thought I usually take 10,000 steps.. But getting this pedometer was an eye opener. I didnot come even half close. Now, I try my best to complete the 10,000 steps. Since I have a goal, all the things that I used to avoid like throwing trash are sounding very welcoming to me now. Throwing trash gets me 300 steps!!! I stopped roaming in walmart for a near parking spot. Infact I am parking in the farthest one now.. In school parking lot too.. I am trying to walk as much as possible.. I am doing 40 mins exercise on tread mill regularly.. Even going to the mall gets you 2000 steps.
Believe me.. 10,000 steps are not easy to achieve.. If at all I fall short by a few thousand steps then I try to compensate it the next day. My overall aim is to get 70,000 steps a week.Since this pedometer has memory too for seven days, it is perfect for me. I gave this as an gift too. Just counts the steps perfectly.. Don’t worry about the stride length.. it is used just to see the distance you are covering.
All in all, getting a pedometer is the best thing you can do. For 20$ you will become more health conscious, will feel more drive to walk.. I recommend this to everyone..
